Books open May 6 for Special Mayor Election.
HONEA PATH – The Election book opens on May 6, for those candidates who may want to run for the Mayor seat that was vacated by Christopher Burton.
Mr. Burton resigned recently due to being asked to take on more responsibility at Greenville Technical College.
The election will be held on July 15, 2025, and voters will be able to register until June 15, 2025.
Citizens desiring to be a candidate may file at the Town Hall, 204 South Main St., Honea Path, SC 29654, beginning at noon on May 6 and continuing until May 20 at noon.
The filing fee for mayor is $100.

The Municipal Election Commission of the Town of Honea Path announces a Special election for the Town of Honea Path to be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Voter registration is closed for 30 days prior to every election.
The following office shall be included in this election:
Mayoral Seat: Unexpired Term
Citizens desiring to be a candidate for the above listed office may file at the Town Hall located at 204 South Main Street, Honea Path, SC. Books will be opened to the public at noon on Tuesday, May 6,2025 and will be closed at noon on May 20, 2025. The filing fee for Mayor is $100.00

In person early voting at the Anderson County Voter Registration and Elections office at 301 North Main St, Anderson, SC, and the time will be 8:30am-5:00pm, July 1-11, 2025.
Canvassing and certification will be 9:30am on July 17, 2025, at Anderson County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 301 North Main Street, Anderson, SC.
