Honea Path, SC – The Town of Honea Path Fire Department, in coordination with the Utility Department, will conduct routine fire hydrant flushing throughout the community from May 8 through May 25, 2026.

This essential maintenance process is part of the Town’s ongoing efforts to ensure the reliability of the water system and the proper operation of fire hydrants for public safety. Hydrant flushing also helps maintain water quality by clearing sediment from water lines.

During this time, residents may experience temporary changes in water service, including:

• Brief drops in water pressure
• Discolored water
• Increased water flow in certain areas

These conditions are normal and should be temporary. If discoloration occurs, residents are advised to run cold water for several minutes until it clears.

Town officials appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as crews work to maintain and improve the water system.
