Chiquola Pool Temporarily Closed Until Further Notice

HONEA PATH, S.C. —  JULY 15,2026 Honea Path Park and Recreation announces that Chiquola Pool is temporarily closed until further notice due to an unexpected pump failure.

The drive motor for the pool pump has burned out and must be replaced before the pool can safely reopen. A replacement motor has been ordered and is expected to arrive on Friday, July 17. Once it is received, Park and Recreation staff will work to complete the installation and restore pool operations as quickly as possible.

Individuals and groups with scheduled pool reservations or events will be contacted directly by the Honea Path Park and Recreation Department regarding any necessary updates or accommodations.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work to complete the repairs. Additional updates will be shared through the Town of Honea Path’s website and social media channels as more information becomes available.
