Garbage Collection Guidelines for Residents

The Town of Honea Path and Local Waste of Upstate remind all residents to follow these simple guidelines to help ensure efficient and reliable garbage collection each week.

Garbage Cart Guidelines

• Place your garbage cart at the roadside the evening before your scheduled collection day.
• Position the cart so it is clearly visible and within three feet of the curb or roadside.
• Face the cart toward the street, with the handles pointing toward your home.
• Do not place electronics, paint, construction debris, or yard debris inside or beside your cart.
• Do not overfill the cart. The lid must be able to close completely.
• Residents may place up to two additional bags of household garbage beside the cart. All extra trash must be securely bagged.
• If your household consistently has more garbage than your cart can accommodate, please contact Local Waste of Upstate to request a second garbage cart.

By following these guidelines, you help ensure timely collection service and contribute to keeping Honea Path clean and beautiful.
