Steve Gambrell Named Chief of Police for the

 Honea Path Police Department

After serving the past two months as Interim Chief, Steve Gambrell has officially been named Chief of Police for the Town of Honea Path.

During the August meeting of the Honea Path Town Council, Mayor Smith removed the “Interim” designation from Gambrell’s title.

Over the past two months, Chief Gambrell has provided leadership and continuity for the Honea Path Police Department while working alongside its officers and serving the citizens of Honea Path. The removal of the interim designation allows him to continue that work as Chief of Police.

Chief Gambrell will continue overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Honea Path Police Department, leading its officers and staff, and working to ensure the department provides professional and dependable law enforcement services to the community.

His continued leadership comes with a commitment to public safety, accountability, and building strong relationships between the Police Department and the citizens it serves.
