Honea Path Visitor Center Joins Discover South Carolina’s Front Porch Program

HONEA PATH, S.C. — The Town of Honea Path is pleased to announce that the Honea Path Visitor Center is partnering with the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (SCPRT) through Discover South Carolina’s Front Porch Program.

The Front Porch Program connects visitor centers and destination organizations in communities across South Carolina with the state’s Welcome Centers and the Discover South Carolina brand. The program is designed to help communities expand their tourism reach, increase awareness of local destinations and encourage travelers to explore more of South Carolina.

Participation in the program will provide Honea Path with another avenue to showcase the community to visitors traveling throughout the state.

Through the Front Porch Program, the Honea Path Visitor Center will provide SCPRT with current information about local attractions, community events, recreation and other opportunities available in Honea Path. This information can be shared with travelers through South Carolina’s state-operated Welcome Centers, helping increase awareness of the town and improve the visitor experience.

Program participants also receive resources to assist with tourism promotion and visitor services, including South Carolina maps, Discover South Carolina Vacation Guides, training opportunities and access to events and resources provided by SCPRT travel professionals.

Located in the Upstate of South Carolina, Honea Path offers visitors the opportunity to experience the character and hospitality of a small Southern town. From the community’s rich history and the Honea Path Museum to Dogwood Park, local businesses, recreation and annual community events, Honea Path continues to build upon its efforts to promote tourism and strengthen its downtown.

The Honea Path Visitor Center is located inside the Watkins Community Center – Town Hall, where visitors can find information about local attractions, events, businesses and other resources.
