Fire Chief- Paul McGaha
Chief McGaha was born and raised in Honea Path, earning his Eagle Scout in 1993. His journey in fire service began in 1989 as part of the Fire Department Explorer Scouts, and he officially became a firefighter in March 1993. Over the years, he served in multiple leadership roles, including Lieutenant, Training Captain, and has served as Assistant Chief for 23 years, beginning in 2001.
Chief McGaha retired from the City of Anderson Fire Department as a Lieutenant on January 1, 2023, after a distinguished career. He is married to Melissa McGaha and is a proud father to their daughter, Lauran.
Duties And Responsibilities: Fire Prevention Through Public Education, Inspections, And Code Enforcement, Fire Suppression, Vehicle Extrication, Low Angle Rescue, High Angle Rescue, Rope Rescue, Urban Search And Rescue, Wilderness Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Hazardous Material Response, Advanced Life Support Transport, And Basic Life Support Transport.
