HONEA PATH, S.C. — The Town of Honea Path, in partnership with Empower Honea Path, hosted a successful Red, White, Rhythm & Blues Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, bringing hundreds of residents and visitors together for an evening of patriotic fun, live entertainment, and community fellowship.
The celebration began with a Decorated Golf Cart & Classic Vehicle Parade through downtown Honea Path, where spectators lined Main Street to cheer on participants proudly displaying their patriotic spirit. Following the parade, attendees gathered at Dogwood Park to enjoy a community cookout, browse the classic vehicle display, and listen to an outstanding performance by South Carolina’s own Wanda Johnson.
Families also enjoyed free admission to the Honea Path Recreation Center Pool and water slides earlier in the day before concluding the evening with a fireworks show at the Recreation Center Ballfield.
The event was made possible through the partnership between Empower Honea Path and the Town of Honea Path, along with the support of dedicated volunteers, vendors, sponsors, performers, first responders, and Town staff.
“We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this year’s Independence Day Celebration such a success,” organizers said. “Despite the summer heat, it was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate our nation’s independence and enjoy a day filled with fellowship and hometown pride.”
The Town of Honea Path and Empower Honea Path extend their sincere appreciation to everyone who participated and supported the event, and look forward to welcoming the community to future events throughout the year.
